Milàn l’è ‘n gràn Milàn

La NBC dice (in un articolo su come chiamare la sede dei giocni invernali 2006):

“Even the Italians go with English translations sometimes. One of their top soccer teams is AC Milan, not AC Milano, and it’s supposedly because when the club was founded, the namers wanted to stick with the sport’s English roots.”

Sicuramente nel 1899 alla Fiaschetteria Toscana, sede originaria del Milan, erano tutti anglofili e tutti talmente avanti da fare un nome metà in italiano (Associazione Calcio) e metà inglese (Milan). Se lo dice la NBC…
